02How billing works
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Who charges you. Paddle takes the payment, works out VAT or sales tax for your country and sends the invoice. Your card statement shows Paddle.
- Monthly and yearly. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Yearly Pro is $96, the same as eight months.
- Cancelling. One click in your account or in the receipt email. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for; nothing is charged after that.
- What stays yours. Every file you downloaded while subscribed stays licensed for the projects you used it in, forever.
- Founder seats. A single payment, no renewal. Sold for 60 days from launch or until 250 are gone, whichever comes first.
- Refunds. 14 days on a first purchase, no questions. Details in the refund policy.
- Payment methods. Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, depending on what Paddle offers in your country.
03Questions
Do I need an account to try it?
No. The lab, the catalogue, the agent tools and the free downloads all work without one. An account only exists to hold a paid plan, your API key and your requests.
Which specimens are free?
Roughly a third of every kit is free, and the default look of every walking creature and mech can be watched and tuned in the lab by anyone. The hero piece of a kit is usually Pro.
Are there locked knobs?
No. Every knob turns for everyone, in the lab and through the agent tools. Payment only gates the download and the CDN token.
What happens to my projects if I stop paying?
Nothing. Files you downloaded while you had Pro stay licensed in the projects you used them in. You lose access to new downloads and to your CDN token.
Can I get an invoice with my company details?
Yes. Paddle asks for a company name, address and VAT number at checkout and puts them on the invoice. EU businesses with a valid VAT number are reverse-charged.
Is there a discount for students or lower-income countries?
