Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/hospital-bed.mjs';
const hospitalBed = createAsset();
scene.add(hospitalBed); // rests on y = 0, front faces +Z
// 'backrest' pivots on its hinge: 0° to 65° around x
hospitalBed.getObjectByName('backrest').rotation.x = THREE.MathUtils.degToRad(0);import { useMemo } from 'react';
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/hospital-bed.mjs';
export function HospitalBed() {
const model = useMemo(() => createAsset(), []);
return <primitive object={model} />;
}# Import hospital-bed.glb (download below). Moving parts are separate nodes, pivoted on their hinge.
$HospitalBed/backrest.rotation_degrees.x = 0// Import hospital-bed.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).
transform.Find("backrest").localEulerAngles = new Vector3(/* x: */ 0, 0, 0);Use the gaitkit MCP server: get_variant({ "id": "hospital-bed", "want": "default look" })
then place the result.

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
back | range | 0 to 60, step 5 | 35 | Backrest angle in degrees: 0 lies flat, 30 to 45 is the usual sitting-up position, 60 fully upright. The head rails move with it. |
rails | toggle | on / off | true | Side rails raised (patient in bed) or lowered beside the mattress (for transfers). They are rigged parts that slide. |
monitor | toggle | on / off | true | A patient monitor with heart-rate and oxygen waveforms on a rolling stand beside the head of the bed. Its screen glows at night. |
iv | toggle | on / off | true | An IV drip pole at the head corner with a fluid bag and a line down to the bed. |
blanket | choice | blue green white peach lilac | blue | Blanket colour: blue, green (mint), white, peach or lilac. The bed frame stays clinical white and grey. |
Presets: icu bay {"back":30,"rails":true,"monitor":true,"iv":true,"blanket":"white"} · empty ward bed {"back":0,"rails":false,"monitor":false,"iv":false,"blanket":"green"} · recovery room {"back":50,"rails":true,"monitor":true,"iv":false,"blanket":"peach"}
