Tow Truck
A 7.8 m conventional (long-nose) tow truck in two builds: a wrecker with a lifting boom, winch cable and hook (boom, rotate x) plus a rear wheel-lift (underlift), or a rollback flatbed whose deck slides back and tilts to the ground (bed, rotate x, and bed_slide, slide z). Wheels roll with distance; headlights, tail lights and the amber light bar glow at night.

Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/tow-truck.mjs';
const towTruck = createAsset();
scene.add(towTruck); // rests on y = 0, front faces +Z
let dist = 0;
renderer.setAnimationLoop(() => {
dist += speed * clock.getDelta();
towTruck.position.z = dist;
towTruck.userData.tick(dist); // wheels roll exactly with the distance
renderer.render(scene, camera);
});import { useMemo, useRef } from 'react';
import { useFrame } from '@react-three/fiber';
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/tow-truck.mjs';
export function TowTruck({ speed = 1 }) {
const model = useMemo(() => createAsset(), []);
const dist = useRef(0);
useFrame((_, dt) => {
dist.current += speed * dt;
model.position.z = dist.current;
model.userData.tick(dist.current); // wheels roll exactly with the distance
});
return <primitive object={model} />;
}# Import tow-truck.glb (download below). It carries an in-place "Loop" animation.
@onready var anim: AnimationPlayer = $TowTruck/AnimationPlayer
func _physics_process(delta):

move_and_slide()
anim.play("Loop")
anim.speed_scale = speed / 3.142 # one Loop = 3.142 m of travel// Import tow-truck.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).
animator.Play("Loop");
animator.speed = speed / 3.142 // one Loop = 3.142 m of travelUse the gaitkit MCP server: get_variant({ "id": "tow-truck", "want": "default look" })
then place the result and drive it with userData.tick(distance).

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
style | choice | wrecker flatbed | wrecker | wrecker (boom with winch cable and hook over a rear wheel-lift) or flatbed (rollback deck that slides back and tilts to load a car). |
paint | choice | white red yellow blue black | red | Cab colour: white, red, yellow, blue or black. The body and boom are dark steel with an amber light bar. |
work | range | 0 to 1, step 0.05 | 0 | Wrecker: raises the boom to 40 degrees and lowers the wheel-lift to the road. Flatbed: slides the deck 2.6 m back and tilts it down to the ground. 0 is stowed for driving. |
lightbar | toggle | on / off | true | Amber light bar on the cab roof and work lamps at the back. |
