Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/rowing-boat.mjs';
const rowingBoat = createAsset();
scene.add(rowingBoat); // rests on y = 0, front faces +Z
// 'oar_L' pivots on its hinge: -35° to 35° around y
rowingBoat.getObjectByName('oar_L').rotation.y = THREE.MathUtils.degToRad(-35);import { useMemo } from 'react';
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/rowing-boat.mjs';
export function RowingBoat() {
const model = useMemo(() => createAsset(), []);
return <primitive object={model} />;
}# Import rowing-boat.glb (download below). Moving parts are separate nodes, pivoted on their hinge.
$RowingBoat/oar_L.rotation_degrees.y = -35// Import rowing-boat.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).
transform.Find("oar_L").localEulerAngles = new Vector3(/* y: */ -35, 0, 0);Use the gaitkit MCP server: get_variant({ "id": "rowing-boat", "want": "default look" })
then place the result.

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
paint | choice | white blue red green yellow | blue | Colour of the outside of the hull: white, blue, red, green or yellow. The top strake gets a contrasting trim and the bottom is tarred dark. |
length | range | 2.5 to 5, step 0.1 | 3.6 | Length in metres. 2.5 is a tender for one, 5 a long harbour skiff. Beam, depth and oars scale with it. |
oars | toggle | on / off | true | Show the two oars in their oarlocks. Off leaves just the empty oarlocks, as if moored. |
stroke | range | -1 to 1, step 0.05 | 0 | Poses the oars through a rowing stroke: -1 blades swung forward to the catch, 0 straight out, 1 blades swept back at the finish. Same as rotating the oar_L and oar_R parts. |
Presets: harbour tender {"paint":"white","length":2.8} · moored skiff {"paint":"red","length":4.6,"oars":false} · mid stroke {"paint":"green","stroke":0.6}
