Siege Catapult
A torsion catapult (onager) about 4.3 m long on a timber frame, with or without wheels. The throwing arm pivots in a twisted rope skein: userData.tick throws it forward against the padded stop beam and winches it back once per loop (arm rotate rig on x, winch spin rig). It throws toward +Z; a burning fireball in the cup glows at night.

Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.

// 'arm' pivots on its hinge: -8° to 100° around x

}# Import siege-catapult.glb (download below). Moving parts are separate nodes, pivoted on their hinge.
$SiegeCatapult/arm.rotation_degrees.x = -8// Import siege-catapult.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
wood | choice | oak pine weathered dark | oak | Timber tone: oak (warm brown), pine (light, freshly built), weathered (silver-grey, veteran of many sieges), dark (tarred). |
wheels | toggle | on / off | true | Four solid wooden wheels so it can be rolled into place. Off sets the frame on skids on the ground. |
ammo | choice | stone fireball none | stone | What sits in the cup: a stone, a burning fireball (glows at night), or nothing. |
size | range | 0.7 to 1.4, step 0.05 | 1 | Overall scale. 1 is about 4.3 m long with a 3.4 m arm; 0.7 a light field piece, 1.4 a heavy siege engine. |
