Speedboat
A 6.5 m open runabout with a deep-V hull, a wrap-around windscreen, bucket seats, a rear bench and one or two outboard motors whose propellers spin with distance. Rides bow-up on the water surface (keel at y = 0, waterline about 0.35 m up); nav lights and the dash glow at night.

Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.

speedboat.position.set(0, groundY + speedboat.userData.altitude, dist);
speedboat.userData.tick(dist); // the body waves with the distance
renderer.render(scene, camera);
