Eaglet
A golden eagle nestling about four weeks old, 36 cm tall sitting back on its heels: a round body of fluffy white down with tufts breaking the outline on the crown, cheeks and back, a big head with a heavy hooked dark beak on a bright yellow cere, yellow gape corners, dark brown eyes with a glint under a soft brow, short drooped wings and big yellow feet with dark talons. Dark first feathers push through on the shoulders, wing edges and tail stub as it ages. Its GLB carries four clips on named parts (body, neck, head, jaw, lid_L, lid_R, wing_L, wing_R, tail): Idle (breathing, looking around, blinking, a wing shuffle), Beg (neck stretched up, beak gaping, wings quivering half open), Gulp (head thrown back, then a swallow) and Settle (it sinks down to rest).

Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/eaglet.mjs';
const eaglet = createAsset();
scene.add(eaglet); // rests on y = 0, front faces +Z
// 'neck' pivots on its hinge: -17° to 10° around x
eaglet.getObjectByName('neck').rotation.x = THREE.MathUtils.degToRad(-17);import { useGLTF } from '@react-three/drei';
// eaglet.glb from the Download button (it carries the knobs you set), saved in /public
export function Eaglet() {
const { scene } = useGLTF('/eaglet.glb');
scene.getObjectByName('neck').rotation.x = -0.297; // -17°, on its hinge
return <primitive object={scene} />;
}
// Live knobs or terrain-following feet: copy eaglet.mjs and runtime/ into your project and use the three.js tab.# Import eaglet.glb (download below). Moving parts are separate nodes, pivoted on their hinge.
$Eaglet/neck.rotation_degrees.x = -17// Import eaglet.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).
transform.Find("neck").localEulerAngles = new Vector3(/* x: */ -17, 0, 0);Use the gaitkit MCP server: get_variant({ "id": "eaglet", "want": "default look" })
then place the result.

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
age | range | 0 to 1, step 0.05 | 0.3 | How far its first feathers have come through: 0 is all white down (about three weeks), 0.5 shows dark pin feathers on the shoulders, wing edges and tail, 1 is half feathered with dark wings and back (about six weeks). |
fluff | range | 0 to 1, step 0.05 | 0.5 | How tufty the down is: 0 is a smooth round chick, 1 is a scruffy one with long tufts breaking the outline. |
size | range | 0.7 to 1.3, step 0.05 | 1 | Uniform scale. 1 is a real four-week golden eaglet, 36 cm tall sitting and about 45 cm with its neck stretched up to beg. |
nest | toggle | on / off | false | Sit it in a stick nest with a soft grass lining (adds about 600 triangles). Off = the chick alone, for your own nest. |
Presets: downy chick {"age":0,"fluff":0.7} · pin feathers {"age":0.55} · half feathered {"age":1,"fluff":0.35} · in the nest {"nest":true}
