Giant Bat
A dire bat the size of a large dog, 2.7 m across the wings: furry body with a pale mantle, tall ears, a leaf nose and fangs, and leathery wings stretched over long finger bones. Flies by distance with quick, deep wingbeats: the hand folds on the upstroke and snaps open on the downstroke, the body bobbing and the hind feet trailing. The eyes glow at night.
