Hill Mound
A rounded hill on a 4, 8 or 12 m terrain tile: a seeded lumpy dome 1 to 8 m high (at most 3 m per cell of footprint) that settles back to the 0.4 m ground line before every edge, so it drops into a field of ground tiles without seams. Steep facets turn to bare rock, and an optional rocky outcrop crowns the top.

Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/hill-mound.mjs';
const hillMound = createAsset();

export function HillMound() {
const model = useMemo(() => createAsset(), []);
return <primitive object={model} />;
}# Import hill-mound.glb (download below). It is a static mesh, one material per colour.
add_child(preload("res://hill-mound.glb").instantiate())// Import hill-mound.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).
// Drop it in the scene: 1 unit = 1 metre, +Z is its front.Use the gaitkit MCP server: get_variant({ "id": "hill-mound", "want": "default look" })
then place the result.

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
biome | choice | grass desert snow rock volcanic alien | grass | Shared by every Terrain piece: grass (green hill), desert (a sand dune with a sharp crest), snow (white with rock on the steep sides), rock (bare stone hill), volcanic (ash cone), alien (violet mound with glowing plants). |
size | range | 1 to 3, step 1 | 2 | Footprint in 4 m grid cells: 1 = 4 x 4 m, 2 = 8 x 8 m, 3 = 12 x 12 m. |
height | range | 1 to 8, step 0.5 | 3 | Height of the top above the ground line, in metres; capped at 3 m per grid cell of size so a hill never becomes a spire. Steep sides turn to rock. |
outcrop | toggle | on / off | true | A cluster of boulders breaking through the top. |
seed | range | 1 to 50, step 1 | 7 | Changes the outline, the lumps, the summit position and the decor. Edges match for every seed. |
