Mesoamerican Step Pyramid
A Mesoamerican stepped pyramid with a steep central stairway up the +Z face to a small flat-roofed building on the summit: Maya style (tall, steep tiers, roof comb) or talud-tablero style (wide sloping-and-panelled terraces). Purely architectural, no carvings or figures. Ruin crumbles terraces and stairs into rubble; jungle covers it in moss, vines, bushes and trees. 30 to 44 m across.

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
style | choice | maya talud-tablero | maya | maya (tall and steep, like the temples of the lowland jungle cities, with a lattice roof comb on the summit building) or talud-tablero (wide terraces of a sloping base under a vertical framed panel, like the great highland city pyramids). |
tiers | range | 4 to 9, step 1 | 7 | Number of stacked terraces. The overall size stays the same; more terraces make finer steps. |
finish | choice | limestone red plaster white plaster | limestone | Surface finish: limestone (bare grey-cream stone, as most survive today), red plaster (painted red stucco, as many were when in use) or white plaster (lime stucco). Ruin flakes the plaster back to stone. |
ruin | range | 0 to 1, step 0.05 | 0.3 | 0 is freshly built; 0.3 restored-ruin look; 1 is a crumbling hill of rubble with a broken summit building and buried stairs. |
jungle | range | 0 to 1, step 0.05 | 0.5 | How overgrown it is: 0 bare; 0.5 moss on the ledges and some bushes; 1 thick with moss, hanging vines, bushes on every terrace and trees growing on and around it. |
