Tank Bot
A small tracked ground robot, about 0.7 m long, with rubber tracks over spinning road wheels, a pan-and-tilt sensor head on a mast and an optional folded manipulator arm on the front deck. The road wheels, idlers and sprockets turn with distance and the head sweeps side to side; camera eyes and headlights glow at night.

Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/tank-bot.mjs';
const tankBot = createAsset();
scene.add(tankBot); // rests on y = 0, front faces +Z
let dist = 0;
renderer.setAnimationLoop(() => {
dist += speed * clock.getDelta();
tankBot.position.z = dist;
tankBot.userData.tick(dist); // wheels roll exactly with the distance
renderer.render(scene, camera);
});import { useMemo, useRef } from 'react';
import { useFrame } from '@react-three/fiber';
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/tank-bot.mjs';
export function TankBot({ speed = 1 }) {
const model = useMemo(() => createAsset(), []);
const dist = useRef(0);
useFrame((_, dt) => {
dist.current += speed * dt;
model.position.z = dist.current;
model.userData.tick(dist.current); // wheels roll exactly with the distance
});
return <primitive object={model} />;
}# Import tank-bot.glb (download below). It carries an in-place "Loop" animation.
@onready var anim: AnimationPlayer = $TankBot/AnimationPlayer
func _physics_process(delta):

move_and_slide()
anim.play("Loop")
anim.speed_scale = speed / 0.754 # one Loop = 0.754 m of travel// Import tank-bot.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).
animator.Play("Loop");
animator.speed = speed / 0.754 // one Loop = 0.754 m of travelUse the gaitkit MCP server: get_variant({ "id": "tank-bot", "want": "default look" })
then place the result and drive it with userData.tick(distance).

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
colorway | choice | olive sand safety arctic | olive | Hull colours: olive (field robot), sand (desert explorer, orange trim), safety (yellow industrial inspection bot), arctic (white with red trim). |
head | choice | cameras dome periscope | cameras | Sensor head on the mast: cameras (a pan-tilt box with two lens eyes, friendly), dome (a low lidar dome on a short neck) or periscope (one tall mast with a single camera eye). |
arm | toggle | on / off | false | A folded two-link manipulator arm with a gripper on the front deck, like bomb disposal and rescue robots. |
size | range | 0.6 to 2, step 0.05 | 1 | Uniform scale. 1 is about 0.7 m long and 0.6 m tall; 0.6 is a toy-sized crawler, 2 a heavy 1.4 m utility robot. |
