Lion
A 1.15 m-tall African lion, about 2.4 m nose to rump plus a tufted tail, with a full shaggy mane that can be switched off for a lioness. Walks a lateral-sequence gait on heavy IK legs with planted paws; the shoulders roll, the head nods and the tail swings.

Use it
Code for the specimen as it is set up above; it follows your knobs.
import { createAsset } from 'https://gaitkit.com/cdn/lion.mjs';
import { walker } from 'https://gaitkit.com/runtime/walk.mjs';
const lion = createAsset();
scene.add(lion); // rests on y = 0, front faces +Z
const gait = walker(lion, { ground: (x, z) => terrainHeight(x, z) }); // or omit ground for a flat floor
let dist = 0;
renderer.setAnimationLoop(() => {
dist += speed * clock.getDelta();
lion.position.z = dist;
gait.poseAt(dist); // feet stay planted, at any frame rate
renderer.render(scene, camera);
});import { useMemo, useRef } from 'react';
import { useFrame } from '@react-three/fiber';

@onready var anim: AnimationPlayer = $Lion/AnimationPlayer
func _physics_process(delta):

move_and_slide()
anim.play("Walk")
anim.speed_scale = speed / 1.375 # Walk clip covers 1.375 m/s at 1x// Import lion.glb with glTFast (com.unity.cloud.gltfast).
animator.Play("Walk");
animator.speed = speed / 1.375 // Walk clip covers 1.375 m/s at 1xUse the gaitkit MCP server: get_variant({ "id": "lion", "want": "default look" })
then place the result and walk it with walker() so the feet stay planted.

| Knob | Type | Values | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
mane | toggle | on / off | true | Shaggy mane around head, neck and chest (an adult male). Off = a lioness, sleeker and maneless. |
maneColor | choice | golden dark black | golden | Mane colour when the mane is on: golden (young male), dark (dark brown, prime), black (black-maned Kalahari lion). |
coat | choice | tawny pale white | tawny | Body colour: tawny (classic sandy gold), pale (light desert lion), white (rare white lion with blue eyes). |
size | range | 0.4 to 1.2, step 0.05 | 1 | Uniform scale. 1 is about 1.15 m at the shoulder; 0.85 suits a lioness, 0.4 reads as a cub. |
